Description

This is a 45+ inch telescopic antenna for aviation band radios with BNC mounting such as the Icom A5, A6, A23, A24, A14 as well as Yaesu, Sporty's, etc.
Collapsed length is 8 inches.
Works for VHF frequencies 118.00-136.975 on radios pushing less than 10 watts.
The center of the frequency matching is 125.00 with an SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) of 1:1.5. It can be used throughout the entire civil aviation frequency band.
Great for handheld radios and gives exceptional performance well above the standard issue “rubber ducky“ or flexible antenna.
Are you an airshow fan, or in the business like me, or an airport bum or a pilot? Do you have a hand held aviation radio or scanner and can only hear traffic in the pattern and would like to hear them just a little farther out? A lot farther out? This antenna, when fully extended, will help you do that. I have one of these antennas on all three of my ICOM A6 radios that I use in my air show business.
The strength of your radio is nowhere near as important as the reachability of your antenna. The taller your antenna, the better the reception you will receive and the farther you can transmit.
